Creating an app

Create a new app in a few answers — name, address, what it should do, and who can use it.

Creating an app

From your dashboard, choose Create an application. You'll answer a few questions:

  1. What's your app called? — the name people will see.
  2. Pick your web address — we suggest one from the name and check it's available as you type.
  3. What should it do? (optional) — describe the app you want in your own words, like "Track my team's expenses: log receipts, tag them by project, and show a monthly summary." Your app's assistant reads this and starts building from it the first time you open a session — the more you tell it, the closer the first version will be. You can leave it empty and describe things later instead.
  4. Who can use it? — public, invite-only, workspace members (company workspaces), or your own sign-in.

If you've registered a custom domain, you can also serve the app at your own address right from this form.

That's it — no technical choices to make. The Ghosty platform sets up everything your app needs, and you get a live link in a few minutes.
